Launching the Next Era of Medicine

SCROLL DOWN

Twin Astra is a groundbreaking series of space missions that push the frontiers of human exploration while uncovering the biological secrets that define resilience, health, and adaptation.

By studying identical twins and triplets in space, these missions tackle fundamental questions about how the human body responds to the extreme conditions of deep space.

Each mission advances cutting-edge healthcare technologies that protect astronauts on long-duration missions while delivering transformative breakthroughs for medicine on Earth —accelerating innovations in personalized treatments, aging, and healthcare accessibility for underserved communities.

Twin Astra is more than a research initiative—it’s the key to unlocking humanity’s future in space and advancing medicine for generations to come.

Together, we can explore the unknown, protect human life, and shape a healthier tomorrow.

The challenges of deep space—microgravity, radiation, and isolation—offer a unique environment to study the human body under extreme conditions.
Insights from Twin Astra will:

Fuel innovation in diagnostics, treatments, and preventative care.

Develop new tools to sustain life both in space and in underserved areas on Earth.

Lay the foundation for the first human missions to Mars, Venus, and beyond.

Through Twin Astra, we aim to:

  • Advance healthcare technologies to protect astronauts and enhance medical care on Earth.

  • Close key knowledge gaps in human biology, from genetic resilience to aging and disease.

  • Enable long-duration space exploration with solutions that safeguard human life far from home.

Mission Overview

Twin Astra will include three groundbreaking missions, each taking a bold step forward in our understanding of human health and resilience:

  • Twin Explorer: Focused on low-Earth orbit research and crew training to lay the groundwork for deep-space exploration.

  • Twin Lunar: Venturing beyond Earth’s orbit, this mission will probe the effects of radiation and microgravity in proximity to the Moon.

  • Trinity Astra: A historic 18-month interplanetary voyage (i.e. Mars and/or Venus), pushing the boundaries of space medicine while unlocking new horizons for humanity.
